Testing Your Audio and Microphone Setup

In order to have a successful live online training session, you will need to test your audio and microphone setup on your PC to ensure that they are working properly.

In addition, consider using a wired broadband internet connection instead of wifi or a wireless connection. Furthermore, the use of dual monitors are highly suggested.

System Requirements

You will need the following for this audio test:

  1. Adobe Flash plugin version 10.1 and up: Download it from Adobe.com free of charge
  2. Headset or You will need a headset connected to your computer or
  3. Speakers and Microphone: Both speakers and microphone must be installed on your computer
  4. Windows 7 Users: click here to get the Instructions on "How to change the default playback audio & recording devices in Windows 7".

 

Audio and Microphone Setup Test

  1. Click on the Start Record Button below
  2. Click Allow when Adobe Flash popup window requests access to your microphone
  3. Speak some test words into your microphone
  4. Click Stop Record to stop the recording
  5. Click the Play button
  6. If you hear your test words through your speakers or headset, the audio test is successful.
  7. If you do not hear your test words, please contact us.
